Love the GTR, genuinely like the standard version although Id never buy one even if I was in the market for such a car, but that looks properly, properly ste. Couldnt care less how it drives and Ill normally give anything a chance, its trying far far too hard. This is definitely the kind of niche model that should be left to be accepted by the JDM market, simply because theyre the only ones who will in sanity.

Come on Nissan, give us a hot hatch or a sports coupe they can do something with!
They have. They are called the 370Z and the GT-R.

Sort of, it's more a supermini on stilts, the only advantage it would have over a normal car in "off road" terms would be the higher ride hight. Yes it is cheap for what it is. It is fairly practical, yes the boot isn't enormous but there's a lot of underfloor storage in there so not as small as it may seem. If you fold the back seats down you've got a nice flat load area which can take a full sized pallet for example.

It's good value, fun to drive around town where it feels very alert and chuckable (although not so good on a back road), really well specced and comfortable.

About the Nismo, if they really want to make it into a "hot hatch" they're going to need to spend some money on the suspension, and I don't just mean sticking a set of lowering springs on the thing. The damping isn't very good at all for quick driving, it runs out of ideas and starts hopping about on trickier roads driven quickly.
Very informative, thank you smile

I got something to say about the Joke and the X trail. When the X trail first some out I saw one parked tail to tail with an old sunny estate, both had the same profile and details only the xtrail was raised up a few inches. The Juke has the same profile and similar details to the Datsun 120Y. As for Ugly, I cant say much as I drive a chipped Roomster Tdi as my every day ride but I've also had a Juke as a company car. I prefer my Roomster as the Juke ran out of puff at 70mph as it was reading nearly 4000 rpm! The Juke is fine on your own but headroom at the back is terrible and the boot is a joke. Plastics where God awful and turning circle not much better.

I saw two hatchbacks parked tail to tail once. Amazingly, they had very similar profiles too.

I sort of hate myself for liking the tarted up Juke, not something I'd ever own as crossovers boggle my mind (if you want an off roader get a proper one!) but I've got to commend Nissan for sticking with the ugly duckling

I truly and honestly don't get why there's so much hate out there for the Juke.

I personally think they're quite quirky and the fact they look different is appealing to me. I'd much rather be seen in one of those than a new BMW now they are truly hideous looking things.

I don't know whether it's my age (I'm 22) but I'm willing to say that it's a cool car

Stu R, I think I forgot to mention my Degrees in Car Design and Architectural Design. What I'm getting at is the clear influence through Datsun/Nissan Design. Thats why I hate posting on this site theres' always some smart arse? Bloody hell lets get a Rover Debate going on shall we?
