They really are dreadful. One of the worst wheels available on any car imo. It's such a shame because some of the other wheel designs they do are fantastic - like the sportpack wheels and the 20 spoke DBS ones.

What's happened to deep dishes these days? These flush ones you see on modern performance cars just don't look nearly as muscular.
I always wondered about this. Where have they gone?Edited by XJ40 on Friday 22 June 13:31
We could be seeing great 3d sculptures, but instead are being given boring flat faced rather cheap looking alternatives
Pagani have them still, but are done in a crude unimaginative fashion imo
Races cars have them
For me another example of a great car offered with terrible wheels is the 458...

Oh Dear... a few raw nerves got touched tonight, didn't they.
I don't think so. You've simply demonstrated what I call "small dog syndrome". Point still stands.

As has been said, when taking the piss, at least get it right.

When you can't afford the proper 911 so make out that it's a worse car and you prefer your slightly below average one.
It always makes me smile when people post this... A few years back when my younger sister was at a party someone was asking her about my parents 987 Boxster S, she was talking about it when suddenly some guy butted in and said "They only bought it because they couldn't afford a 911"To which she replied:
"Well actually after buying the Boxster they bought a 911 to accompany the Boxster.. and then they sold the 911 and bought a DB9.. and then they sold that and bought an RS4. Out of all the cars they've owned and bought both my parents think the Boxster S is the best drivers car.. especially on a summers evening when you can put the roof down. So no actually they didn't buy it for that reason"
The guy had no comeback and stood there quite startled. If his jaw had dropped any further he would have struck oil.

I mean, people dont go round spouting "You've only got an M3 because you could'nt afford an M5", or an SLK55 because you can't afford an SL55, or a Lotus Elise because you cant afford an Evora.

Well, I'm glad they called it Vanquish rather than DBS. This keeps eveything balanced. Had they called it DBS, then you'd have to specify early, mid or late model DBS when discussing your car. By calling it Vanquish, all V car owners and DBS owners only have to refer to early or late.
