There is a question that pops into my head at times like this and here it is:
Who walks into a showroom with their hard earned cash, looks at something like that and says, yes, that right there is the one for me, its the best fit for my lifestyle and the best I can get for the money and actually who in the Nissan factory looks at that and says yes guys given the parameters we had to work to on this project I think thats the best we could do and signs off on it.

Indeed, but there have been a great many cars that that could be applied to, not least the Ford Scorpio, Yaris Verso and many others. In terms of buyers there are always some who see it for its practicality and price and care little about how it looks, but still...Who walks into a showroom with their hard earned cash, looks at something like that and says, yes, that right there is the one for me, its the best fit for my lifestyle and the best I can get for the money and actually who in the Nissan factory looks at that and says yes guys given the parameters we had to work to on this project I think thats the best we could do and signs off on it.

I saw a few Renault Talismans (Talismen?) on my travels in France last week. Looked pretty smart. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Talisman
I also saw a big Renault Espace style thing that wasn't called Espace.
I'm rather enjoying going to France and seeing stuff we don't get here, reminds me of going on holiday as a kid when you used to see all manner of local euro products not sent to the uk.
The big espace that wasn't an espace was an "Avantime".I also saw a big Renault Espace style thing that wasn't called Espace.

Can't see them selling that in the Uk but in hotter climates it could work.Phew, you're getting excited about my use of language. I'm just saying that the Renault estate really did look wonderful. Very striking. Much nicer than bland bmw/audi/ford boxes.
Maybe it just was the timing, meandering along on perfect French roads, 30 degrees outside, not a cloud in the sky.
No I don't want one, but it looked lovely. Now calm down

People's obsession with German munters means we miss out on some intersting shapes in the UK.

One of these perhaps? Grand Scenic.

I think we'll see the Grand Scenic IV in the UK - we've only just got the latest Megane on which it's based, so it can't be long now, as the outgoing model has been very successful for Renault UK.People's obsession with German munters means we miss out on some intersting shapes in the UK.
