SEAT Ibiza Raider Coupe. From what I can understand of the Google translated page, it got as far as prototypes in 1986 and VW killed it in the takeover from Fiat.

Mk1 MR2 at the front.
I thought the whole thing looked like a Mk1 drawn by an 8 year old.

That was a lucky escape, it's the kind of thing I'd have bought. I owned a Hyundai Coupe so I have history for this kind of stuff. I also liked the Hyundai Scoupe which might be a car some have never heard of.

When I was at uni I'd pass an S Coupe coming out of Stockton every so often (red/pink colour I think), it always reminded me of a lardy Rover 200 Coupe without any of the design charm (Hyundai did have a tendency to take... inspiration shall we say from other manufactures for certain design cues at the time).

Surely nobody can post on this thread as you cannot know about cars you didn't know existed...

'Cars you only found out very recently didn't exist' would be a thread title much less likely to provoke an existential crisis.

Well done, VW! That is a right fugly machine.

It looks like a kit car, but without the design quality...
Oh I dunno, its looks ok if you cover the back, past the B post.

That is one of those cars where you just can't believe that someone has designed it, stood back and gone "yep, looks good it is exactly what I wanted"!

Team effort. We should sort out some of the other thread titles on PH whilst we're about it...

Can I suggest the

Best car lease deals and a couple of PCP deals and a few poor deals from PH sponsoring dealers and much discussion about which options to go for until someone creates and then posts a link to a new topic created specifically for people who are leasing that particular car.
Volume III

Ps, th title only needed one word I think.
Cars you didn't previously know existed
