Saw this on sale local to me, imported from SA apparantly, it’s a 1.8.

Small pickups (bakkies) are very popular in SA, there was a mk5 fiesta version available too. Saw a number on a trip to Cape Town a few years back

I remember thinking the side steps on the Corsa could be repurposed as air intakes for a wild rear engined V8 conversion.

As much as I would never want another Corsa, I'd have that in a heartbeat biggrin.

A weird story filed under 'useless information'. In South Africa, there was the Mk5 Fiesta based Bantam pickup, its the front end of a Fiesta, uses the 5 door Fiesta front doors, and has quarterlight windows behind them...

Completely separately, Ford in Brazil made a Mk5 Fiesta based Courier pickup, using the front end of a Fiesta, doors from a 3 door Fiesta, and no quarterlight windows.

And then car companies wonder why they don't make any profits...!

Reminds me of what I heard about Audi recently. They have not one but two JVs running in China at the moment, one with SAIC and one with FAW. The trouble is, there's quite literally a "Chinese Wall" between the two companies, and each is doing their own thing with regard to product development. So they are both producing slightly different versions of the Audi range, and according to my source, they are gradually diverging...

Read about these the other day, apparently the Phaeton's replacement in China...

Based on the latest Audi A6, this is the VW Phideon available with either a 2.0 petrol or 3.2 (i think) V6 petrol.

I would happily drive around in one of these!

So that's what the guy who built the comically bad Zonda replica did next...
Sorry just catching up on this thread. Is this not a joke car? A quick Google and this is the fking interior:

OCD alert on the steering wheel stitching joints!!!

It's not. I think the best photo is from their brochure. It has no explanation to go with it:

Having looked at their website though you have to admire their ambition. Still, we won't be laughing in 40 years time when they "do a Kia" and suddenly become good.

A Cadillac BLS, based on a 9-3 I think.
Those two exhausts, one each side really hint at the power available from the 1.9 Diesel engine.....
I often have a look for one of the 2.8 turbo V6 ones. I'd happily have a cheap one of them, and they do come up from time to time
