I can't believe I am about to say this, but isn't that another name for the Kia Sedona?

I believe it's based on an old Mitsubishi people carrier; the Sedona is bigger with sliding rear doors.

oldsmobile tornado - '400bhp' (old measurement), v8, front wheel drive. The review makes me very glad cars have come a long way

This device was built on a Toronado chassis.

23 feet long, 7-litre V8 about 6" from the driver's head, front-wheel-drive. Do I want to try it? No thanks.

Good spot, that – and you're in the right ballpark, in terms of country of origin – it's a WiLL Vi (I think) which is a JDM Toyota product.

It's a Will VI. They're based on a Yaris, I bought one and drove it to Vienna for a friend. He bought a load of oddball JDM stuff from me over the years

They are cool as, I love em, I used to see one regularly at my local Sainsburys, not seen it for a while now though.

W221 S280, I thought the smallest petrol W221 was the S350.

Yep - Britain, Ireland and Asia received it (3.0 V6).

On a similar note (the UK didn't receive it) the smallest diesel W221 was the S250 CDI (2.1 I4):

The biggest diesel W221 (again, the UK didn't receive it) was the S420 / S450 CDI (4.0 V8):

The engine (OM629) came to the UK in the W164 ML420 CDI and X164 GL420 CDI.

Even in the intro to the Pink Panther you can clearly see the thing wobbling about all over the place, the weight distribution was so awful it was virtually impossible to control even at low speeds.

I do love these South American specials, one of my favourites is the VW1500 - competition to guess the car it started out as (apologies if mentioned before)

Spot the Uno-based van in the background too.

I think it might actually be a two door Onion wink

According to Wikipedia you could also have one badged as a VW Apollo. Presumably the Jetta wasn't available in Brazil?

is it just me or when you see these sort of things like a ford from places like brazil, argentina, africa, they always look like they've taken the design we would recognise over in the UK and just go OK how can fk this up by make our own small detail changes which just look st and jarring with the rest of the car? OK pencil time, quick fk up to the roofline, quick bks to the C pillar, shorten/lengthen the whole thing for some reason... aaaand done!

It's almost like they can't help themselves - like they just have to put their mark on it somewhere.

That's pretty much how it looks to my eyes too. Indian booted superminis are the worst
