Didn't the 4 wheel drive system from that end up on the Jenson Interceptor FF?

Vauxhall Grandland. Saw my first one today and had no idea such a thing existed. The name sounds like it should be attached to some Chinese Land Rover knock-off.

Definitely not, but it might have been on a Jensen.

Interesting that there are two current Vauxhalls in this thread, I'd never heard of them either.

And Vauxhall has a new head of PR. I'm guessing he's pretty necessary.

hehe

it's also a good example of the rise of the crossover -- even in places like the UK where some streets are older than the automobile and some garages were initially built for smaller vehicles

Perhaps Vauxhall have their marketing correct already, people seem to be buying these cars that us enthusiasts have never heard of, to they must be advertising in the correct places... smile

Saw this outside a Mitsubishi dealer, new 'Eclipse Cross'
Firstly, one of those SUVs people always claim they need cos there's more space, innit
Secondly, the Eclipse was a nice looking sporty coupe, ruined the name now

Saw a Ford Flex this morning, it didn't look too shabby:

I'd like one of those, I notice they call it an SUV, not sure what is particularly SUV about it, as opposed to a 'a big estate car'
Marketing.
Apart from the draining board attached to the side I quite like that. I’d rather have that than the gopping MINI Blobman
The Flex is huge compared to the mini. 3 usable rows of seats and still has luggage space in the trunk. It is also surprisingly capable in snow. It is a Ford Explorer, just lower and more functional. Washboard is pressed into the metal and is not stuck as well.

The Jensen FF. Just looked like an interceptor (just a little bigger)

Really like the look of these in a weird sort of way. In the USA just now and they are everywhere.

Same here. Well, I’ve seen four. Two were courtesy cars.
Preferred the pictures to the reality tbh.

A privately-owned BMW estate (F11) with a largish petrol engine (535i).

Ownership(!) of such models must have been a tiny, tiny number of sales, surely?

ETA I've only ever seen one (pre-LCI F10) 550i - two years ago, sitting in a queue in Lane 1 of all places. Haven't seen another one since...

I was looking at this recently actually, there are less than 250 550is still registered in the UK, although the website doesn't differentiate between E60, F10 etc

More common in their current incarnation. Lot of 540i models around.
