it's also a good example of the rise of the crossover -- even in places like the UK where some streets are older than the automobile and some garages were initially built for smaller vehicles

I was looking at this recently actually, there are less than 250 550is still registered in the UK, although the website doesn't differentiate between E60, F10 etcOwnership(!) of such models must have been a tiny, tiny number of sales, surely?
