Cars you didn't know existed...
Discussion
This one threw me the other day. A car branded as a Focus which looks nothing like an actual Focus saloon of that period of time, but with Mk1 Focus wheels and a square sized number plate. Further investigation showed that Ford US took a bit of a divergent path for the Mk2 Focus (the Mk1 and Mk3 being the same as over here).
MOT history was a bit weird too- had an MOT in 2009 (with 42 miles on the odometer) and then didn't have another one until 2012, where by that point it had 31k miles on it.
Why would someone import a brand new US-spec 2.0 Focus of all things?

American servicemen bring all sorts of random stuff over with them, some of it stays behind.https://cazana.com/uk/car/AE09FUB

Also sold as a Ford of some sort if I remember correctly, Explorer maybe?
Maverick, sold in the US as Escape. Hugo a Gogo said:
not the greatest car in the world
It is not! It's solid, reliable and practical though... Which is what I need at the moment. Will probably get bored in a few months (weeks), and sell it for what I paid for it... Or hold on until the snow comes and sell it for double! Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
