Anyone know what happened to it ?
Part CLK ,part F1 Longtail.
Does it still exist as above ?
Three years after the events at Jarama, the car emerged on the auction floor of RM Sotheby’s. The car had received a full restoration including a new BMW S70/2 V12, correct bodywork and its original Franck Muller Watch orange/black livery Part CLK ,part F1 Longtail.

Here are a few more images of it testing at Jarama including the final one after Bernd Schneider put it in the wall. You can just see the "..enz" of Mercedes Benz on the left of the image on the backdrop.

Like so many JDM cars I only know about them from many hours on the Playstation and Gran Tourismo. Some of the odd ones like this were a bargain price with cheap but effective tuning options.
Another obscure GT1 car that never made it out of Japan, I give you the Nissan 'Sileighty'. Officially around 400 units were made with factory permission. It is a 180SX with a cosmetic front-end swap from a S13 Silvia. This was a popular conversion made in US, this hybrid was continued with the S14 & S15 Silvia's. More obscure still was the opposite 'Onevia' a S13 Silvia with a cosmetic front-end swap from a 180SX. GT1 screenshot >>>

Shapecraft conversion I think. Very expensive in its day. A few were converted.
It may just be a poor photo, but the roof looks lower than a Shapecraft Elan which I think used the doors and windows (with rounded rear corner) of the convertible.Onwards...

You could buy the Kangoo version of that a few years ago, nobody bought it though as a Bipper/Nemo was far cheaper it didn't have an expensive badge on the nose before.
Fixed that for you. I always thought the main reason that couriers in Mercedes Sprinters drove so quickly was in case the vans rusted before they got to their destination.

Whilst we're on vans.
I saw a Fiat Talento yesterday. It's admittedly hard to keep up with which vans manufacturers are badge engineering at any given time, but this one has totally escaped me up to now.

It wouldnt have surprised me if it was called the Fiat Stupido

Whilst not as exciting as the Mercedes GTR mule, I thought I was pretty clued up when it came to Mitsubishi Lancers Evos but yesterday I found out about a Lancer GSR or "mini Evo" which came with a 1.8 Turbo engine with 200hp + Awd
The Lancer GSR is the daddy. The Lancer Evolution was a, well, it’s obvious now that you know. blearyeyedboy said:

BMW 130i, we all know the hatchbacks, but didn't realise they had made some convertibles
