Lamborghini Urus. I know it was in the making but didnt know they were in on sale. Saw one today at the mall. A bit of a disappointment.

I suppose it’s much like a Saab 93!
Yes! But I've driven a 9-3 too; the BLS is softer sprung. All the better for roughly surfaced Irish and Welsh back roads.

Now that Saab isn't around to object officially and supply of Saab spares is more secure, I think it'd be easier to run one now than it was then. Paint and panel matches will be a bugger if anything happens though.

Didn't I read that you need Cadillac software to access a BLS?

Interesting point. I've been told different things; I'm not sure how much of that was Saab dealers coming up with excuses not to work on my car and how much was reality.

Sorry saaby93, was there a reference in that Wiki link to software that I missed, or did you just want to post a picture?

Sorry - just a gratuitous pic smile
I wanted to see what you were all talking about. Wiki confirms it was made by SAAB and you can see all the Saabage in the background

Nearly all the interior, switchgear etc are identical to the 9-3 apart from a few Cadillac-badged items. Glass/roof are the same as the 9-3. Nearly everything you can't see is 9-3.

Yep, it really is a 93 with a few cosmetic differences and softer springing.

You know when people say “a Saab is just a Vauxhall Vectra”? This is way closer than any floorpan sharing type deal

The BLS wasn’t even offered in North America

I don’t think you do - GM stuff of that era uses Tech 2. Basically the same software whether you have a Daewoo, Cadillac, Vauxhall, Pontiac, Saab or anything else

^ Confirms my suspicion that I was strung a line by a Saab dealer who didn't want to touch my car!

I think that your suspicions are right. I have a Tech 2 clone that works perfectly on my Vauxhalls and my friends’ Vauxhalls and Saabs - it would really surprise me if the BLS used some unique system.

Mine has the option when starting to choose which brand of car you’re working on. Anything GM from Daewoo to Cadillac is listed

Why do manufacturers do that and not let you access everything through the SID
Assuming the BLS has a SID or is it a CID

Any more info on this Tech2 clone? Is it like the fake Vagcom cables of VAG cars?

It's the best looking Audi I've seen for a long time. Most of the others are hard tell apart without some reference for scale.

I think they do it in VW and Skoda flavour too. Certainly I saw both a Skoda and VW fake 4x4 recently with odd names that I didn't recognise.

It looks wrong from every angle.

Edit to add: It's the same size as a Nissan Juke.
