One off 1967 Ferrari 'Thomissima' built in California from Ferrari parts by Tom Meade, as far as I'm aware not endorsed by the factory...

I got the impression - albeit from the web - that they had a bit of a cult following in NL. That sad, I can't recal seeing any there.
Maybe, a bit like the Alfa 105 scene largely is over there, it is a weekend thing in good weather only?

I saw a Tesla Model 3 in a showroom yesterday, and it was interesting... but I wondered what she might come out to rival it?

Then I googled and found the upcoming Polestar 2, launching next year. It's an apparently jacked-up hatchback with slightly awkward proportions.

I like it.

The vehicle the X6 wished it could look like. I like that, which is saying a lot as I'm more of a 'lower is better, lower and 2 doors is even better' kinda guy i.e. I'd seriously consider an Elise S2 as a daily driver.

Exactly. It's interesting that BMW is working on a similar vehicle, and VW are betting the farm on their new ID series and it's Seat/Audi/Skoda clones.

Tax rules that favour effective driven company cars from the 2020/21 tax year will make this diet of discussion much more interesting. Diesels are likely to be driven by the very few who need something with a very long range, which is fewer people than many would wager.

The BMW 320d might become a much less common sight.

1975 Volvo 66. The predecessor to the Volvo 340. I only found out about these this week:

Dad had a couple of DAF 44's in the late '70s and early '80s when we lived in Germany. Both orange. I remember coming home one night with him, the boot was full of beer from the NAAFI ready for a party that weekend and we got rear ended. The DAF was made of paper and the beer crates took the impact, beer all over the road and a nice smell hehe

Just got back from Amsterdam and these things are everywhere.

The Biro. They fall into a loophole that means they can be driven on the road or a bike lane, and no licence is required. I might rent one the next time I go, as they look like a giggle.

In places such as London we should all be using stuff like that if we’re honest with ourselves

The Suzuki Hustler. Seen on a side street in Limassol, Cyprus. Like a significant number of cars here it's a Jap import and a Kei car to boot with a firebreathing 658cc triple.

I want one almost as much as I want a Jimny!
