Ah, the Y10. Known as the screaming chicken Landis's importers.
Exactly what I was thinking.

Looking at the Y10, and never considered this before, is it some how Uno related/ based?
It used the Panda front suspension but was an in-house design. Marketed as the Lancia Y10, it was very popular as a chic city car.
Interesting. Always knew of it's existence, but never considered until now how similar they looked.

It was facelifted and sold as a Chrysler Ypsilon very briefly too, then replaced with a bigger new Ypsilon.

I once borrowed a GT (?) off a friend, the pedals were so ridiculously close together that even with size 10's I'd hit the brake and accelerator at the same time.So I had to drive with my right foot at angle and press the pedal with the side of my foot.

My brother had a spate of Lancias one after another.

Y10 Fila

900 cc, pretty gutless, but well equipped for the time, ‘leccy windows, central locking etc.

The interior was “interesting”.....

It was replaced with a Delta 1.3LX

Which rusted within a short time....

Then a Dedra 1.6 I.e.

Shortly after he gave up buying Lancias.... laugh

There's been at least 3 different versions of Y10 and Ypsilon.

DR is a big dealer in southern Italy with a Fiat franchise. They have also been importing and selling chinese cars for around 10 years with their brand

I had a Dedra briefly as a station car; a 1.6 in dark green & the hardest (yet standard) suspension of any car I've owned.
My brother had a Prisma with the 1585cc twincam engine. He replaced that with a Dedra 1.8 i.e. (1756cc). A lovely car, replaced with a brand new 156 1.8 in 2000.

I agree. A little Ferrariesque at the front end and very pretty indeed. Must be sub 900kg and go like stink with the Honda under the bonnet. I'm betting on sub 6 to 60?
Should be a bit quicker? Basically a Hondaed Elise in a pretty / classic package. Very very nice. In some ways seeing this sort of thing annoys me more than nice concept cars. You know the concept will never be made and thus it is ignored. This _could_ potentially hit production. But the chances are so slim... :-/

Came across this the other day as just been auctioned - the1967 BMW/Glas 3000 V8 Coupe. Gorgeous one-off from the defunct manufacturer Glas and BMW. Never seen it before but rather reminds me of a Monteverdi.

Riversimple Rasa hydrogen cell car prototype.

Regardless of whether this could be a more conventional electric car, it reminds me of what a modern Citroen should perhaps be.

I went dog walking in the local woods today and in the car park was an MG HS. It looked not too bad (for a crossover), quite big. Not following the cheapo Chinese SUV market I was unaware of them. They start at £17.5k which seems a bargain.

Monteverdis were styled by Frua, and Wikipedia tells me the same for that BMW so no wonder they have some similar cues. The BMW/Glas is not his Mona Lisa though.

Is it not a ZS? Or do they have 2 SUV models?

Two models, the HS is bigger and Kodiaq-sized.

By most accounts I've read it's actually pretty competent and a decent drive.

A friend of mine has worked there for a few years and said the project is really interesting and going well.

Fabulous!

And the perfect example for this thread - never heard of it before, obviously never seen it either.

Thanks.

BMW took over the rival car co Glas, they continued producing some of the cars for a while rebadged as BMWs
That one was originally with Glas' own V8, then BMW put their own engine in it
