eek And how much in proper folding stuff is SsangYong prepared to pay someone permanently to take one off their hands?
There's a SsangYong dealer near me, he's had a couple of these in before, very amusing.

I'm sure there was a PH'er who bought a Korando in some kind of special edition race spec?

Anyway, the most bizarre thing is that now, SsangYong has released a new version of the Korando which isn't a pick up at all, its now an SUV. unless you specify the sport version which I think is now the pick up

SsangYong Korando DMZ special edition. A variant produced for Korea (comes in white initially) and then after demand imported to the UK. Saw one in the flesh this week!
Would love to see the type of person demanding this type of car. CrossFit or MMA gym owners?

Korando was an SUV long before the pickup version was available .

Pickup is now called Musso, it’s a newer model than what was called the Korando here but known as the Actyon in different markets.

Weren’t these called the ‘Dong A Korando’ many years ago? I remember them from my World Cars books of the eighties.

Might be a repeat, & isn't strictly a separate model, but I've not heard of it, & it looks sufficiently different from the base car that I'd not recognise it driving by - http://www.britishv8.org/Articles/Images-V14-3/Bro...

I'll guess at an MG as the base car - from the roof lines..

..however that design does weirdly look a rolling history of 25+ years of car design in one vehicle.

The front and back lights don't suit it at all, I'm not 100% what cars they are from (Geo Metro/Suzuki Swift at the front? First thought for the back was BMW, but they I think they're from some 90's Mazda I can't place). Anyway, I think I'd rather have an MG RV8 GT coupe conversion...

Korando means Koreans Can Do
Musso is Rhinoceros
Ssangyong means Twin Dragons

What are you driving these days John?

A Twin Dragons Rhinoceros mate!

Take the elegance and beauty of an MGB GT and feed it pork pies for a year.

That's bloated.

The Brütsch (sp) wheel configuration was the other way round: single at the front.
The right answer was given by AndrewCrown several pages back.

The next starter for 10. smile
