I never knew DAF ever made cars until a friend pointed one out the other day and said her grandmother used to have one
Didn't get a photo but from a quick google search I think it was a DAF 46 Combi. Something slightly odd about the proportions IMO, but I rather like the front end.
I'm sure DAF had some success in rallying with similar cars. Not Escort-winning success, but decent.Didn't get a photo but from a quick google search I think it was a DAF 46 Combi. Something slightly odd about the proportions IMO, but I rather like the front end.

Citroen 2CV Wood Tryane II
The car was built by a British cabinet maker called Friend Wood and took 2,000 hours to make. It is capable of doing over a hundred miles on one gallon of fuel.
I saw this car at a CCC event at Curborough many moons ago, it's amazing.

If you focus on the rear 3/4, it looks a little Triumph 2000 estate-esqJPvanRossem said:
Or a group road test comparing a Lotec Ambassadeur
with an Austin Ambassador
and a Hindustan Ambassador
Followed by a "Shoot Out" (is that the right cliche?) between the Standard Gazel
the Singer Gazelle
and, er, one of these?

I'm going to ignore the fact that it's gopping and ask why the stickers on the side are back to front.
I saw a video on someone making this observation in japan (where the custom was done). He's an aussie guy who moved their years ago and has thousands of videos on all aspects of japan (link to his channel here. It's actually rather common occurance, even on the sides of commercial vehicles. On one side it will be the right way round, the other side it will be reversed, but will mirror the correct side.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
