Shame it's in the state it's in now.

Wow that is cool! Yeah and it's certainly a shame if it's still in the state as shown in the article.

Have we had the full sized model Ford Sierra Targa yet? Probably.

Obviously based around the looks of the XR4i but intended to use the firm's other smaller engines alongside the 2.8 V6. Note the rear lights still retaining a choice between the saloon and estate.

We got given the Escort Cabriolet instead.

Starting to understand why older generations are so bitter seeing that.

One of these drove past me earlier, looked pretty nice for an MPV!

We don't get the current Espace in the UK, which is a real shame. A handsome thing.

The current Scenic has a lot of the same flavour, and looks great, IMO.

Looks yes, but aren't they all pants?

I say this on the basis that a large 5 seater/7 seater is a category I have to fill in life (and generally have done in several flavours) and, like the C4 Picasso etc., the Espace tends to be dirt cheap for the most, which in realistic speak tends to mean it's an unreliable heap.

Drove a new one around 2010-ish which was nice enough, but either get treated roughly or fall apart it seems. I have previous there, as I had one of the 'new Lagunas' that was circa 2001 reg'd and everything that could go wrong with a car went wrong with it. May as well have made it myself from scratch.

I don't know what the current ones are like but about 10 odd years ago (maybe more??) a colleague had one as a company car with the 3.5 litre V6 and it was broken all the time. I think he got the lease company to have it back in the end, the 2nd time the engine had to come out for something!

Knowing recent Renaults, "something" was probably a headlight bulb that needed replacing.

I went down a slightly different route, as I have only a very occasional requirement for 7 seats so I went with a Citroen C-Crosser (not that common in itself). 5 seat Mitsu based SUV/4x4 with a couple of pop-up seats in the boot. The extra seats have been handy, but 9 times out of 10 they are left folded away

I'm just back from 10 years in Dubai.
Always been the renault duster there, so guessing they call them that for other markets too. Looks almost odd seeing them here with a Dacia badge!

BMW 1600 GT convertible. The only one in existence, restored by BMW apprentices at the same factory in which it was built in the sixties.

They're sold in Europe as Renault Duster. Russia, for example has them as Renault Duster

I saw that on Barn Finds earlier. 1 of 3, it’s truly hideous! Based on some kind of International chassis, the exterior isn’t matt, it’s Naugahyde (American fake leather)...
