I know they're going to be slow, handle like a blancmange and kill the planet. But I have lust for these things. I think I'd rather buy one of these to go with my current garage than any other car.

Utterly useless, as I live in Central London. And buying and modifying your own Defender would probably be cheaper. But I want one so much. Car porn, in my opinion.

That black one looks mean as fk, I do however really like the yellow one too. A lot of want!

Given the usual reaction these evoke I'm quite puzzled as to how Land Rover haven't introduced a Marmite coloured version yet.

Look odd on big alloys imo.
I prefer them on big steel modulars either grey or black.

£45,000?!?

I just don't get it. It's a sort of anti-car to me.

Had a range rover classic. If you have not owned one you must, dont get much more king of the road feeling than taking one of those down country lanes.

Au contraire: I find a Defender the perfect antitode to urban motoring. You laugh in the face of speed humps, traffic calming measures and having to hop over the odd kerb or two, all whilst having a fantastic view from on high (one literally looks down on Range Rover drivers). biggrin

There's enough fun to be had in a cooking TD5 Defender 90; modify if you want, but at the speeds you'll be travelling there's no need. smile

ETA: perfect tow car for your Caterham as well. thumbup
