Bah you young whipersnappers. smile I was 14 when my parents bought the 1979 RS2000 that I bought off them. I have been tempted to buy a 1965 car to have one the same age as me, but there's not much I'd be interested in that I could afford. I wouldn't mind a 1965 E Type though if I came into money. cloud9

A bit O/T, but my dad who was born in '51 had a '49 Riley RMA for many years in the 1990s/2000s. Seems to be the oldest person mentioned so far with a car older than them. smile

Born 1976. I currently own a 1975 spitfire and am restoring a 1972 GT6. My first car was a 1965 LandRover S2a of which I was the second owner.

Born in '88, had a '70 Beetle. Quite a scary though that it was probably already a heap the day I was born and a lot worse 22 years after, when I acquired it!

I was born in 1980 and my first car (which I still have) was a '74 MGB.

My daily driver is 2004, though.

Jesus, I wish I hadn't read this thread, now feeling very ancient. Only sanity is OldSkoolRS is (slightly) older than me wink

My oldest car is 11 years younger than me, my oldest bike just one year younger.

The car I picked up the current Mrs Muppet in on our third date was older than her, but sadly (for the purposes of this thread) 14 years younger than me.

My '65 Beetle and '87 309 are both older than me. Modern cars just don't quite have the same appeal.
