I want one of those so bad! There was a PH member with one of these who put a camera on his rear bumper on his way to pick up his kids - sounded amazing. Fair play to MB for not muting their V8's

Yeah. I mean the 325 has a 2.5 litre engine.
The 540 has a 4.0 litre engine.
850 had a 5.0 engine

oh...
850 was also 5.4 litre and (at least the E39) 540 was a 4.4 litre whistle

Sorry I used less words than that post needed. I was suggesting the dislikes were because the imbeciles on youtube will have thought it to be an old mans car.

This always intrigues me that the 6.208 litre is somehow a 6.3 litre ???
It intrigues me how the engine size of a BMW actually bears no relation to what the model name says.

The current 328 has a 2.0 litre engine.
318 2litre
335d 3litre
The 114i, 116i and 118i all have a 1.6 turbo.
THis conversation literally could not be any more interesting.

Actually yes it could.

Doesn't BMW's badging have to do with, turbo'd models having the same power a larger na engine, so get badged as such? I recall this was the case with the E23 745i (turbocharged 3.5)

What happens these cars when F1 are finished with them? I know they're only on loan from Mercedes but where do they go from there?

It's been like that for 3 or 4 decades, what intigues me more is that people still can't get their head around it.

Glorious! cloud9

Is that just a standard C63?! I knew they were loud but I've never actually heard one like that at full chat. They don't seem as loud on the professional video's/reviews.

A C63 is on the list for my next motor. If I got one it would be the coupe, but if I was in a position to need 4 doors then I'd much rather have the estate than the saloon; they're so cool!

I know what you mean.

People don't seem to realise that even back in the early 80's the 316 and 318 were both 1.8 litre engines. (as an example)
