I just think they look uber cool when standard fit (not so much when after market.... Although happy to be shown to be wrong!)

Does anyone know the technical name?

Also, what cars were they fitted to as standard?

Slatted Autoplas rear window visor, that's what you want. Very Carlos Fandango.

Inside or outside?
outside - window louver, very very few cars ever had them from the factory
inside - rear window blinds, usually merc and BMs have em
or if you have a people carrier then yes curtains

I vaguely remember seeing these on Ford Capris when I was a wee boy.
