Promise it was just coincidence it matched the car!

And the beauty is this set-up does indeed translate to a used context too, complete with the 'you could have a 911 for that' comparison...

That is very nice!

I had a suitable tow vehicle until last night, and suitable car to tow but unfortunately I'm not allowed on my license.

Has anyone else done the trailer test?

Great minds think alike!

I've just bought a 180hp DSG LWB sportline and had it converted into a campervan. This weekend I'm towing my Radical to The Ring on sat then Spa on Monday. I'll let you know how it goes!

£40,000 + for a van, that is strong money considering its an occasional vehicle.

How's this for an idea:

Old transporter with bikes, toolkit, mattress etc in the back.
One person drives the van, the other drives whatever toy you're bringing. Switch periodically.

The upsides are that you get to have some fun on the journey there, and you don't have to tow a large trailer (don't fancy it personally). You can bring plenty of stuff too.

The downsides are that you have to have a road legal car, you pay for two lots of fuel and you'd have to sleep in close proximity with whomever you brought with you...

Makes even more sense with a motorbike:

That really is uncomfortable on the motorway and has absolutely no room for lugagge!!

Once the bike is in the mountains though, thats an experience!! biggrin

You dont have to spend £40k neither. There are plenty of sub £10k options with less than stellar mileage available.

Nice setup, I would love that Van/Caterham combi if I had parking space for them.
I think a camper/caterham combination would be better
