What car for three child seats?

Great suggestion, thanks. However when I tried to see if it would fit on my girlfriends zafira it said:"Notes about fitting Multimac to this car:
Special fitting to be advised The MULTIMAC will fit on the car-seat, but there is no suitable mounting for the eye-bolt [probably because the existing buckle is fitted to the removable car-seat frame]. Contact MULTIMAC, or lobby the car vehicle manufacturer, to arrange a special fitting, or to be advised that this is impossible."

Evening all, me and the missus are going to have three kids under three in the near future so will need a car with enough space for three car seats in the back. the only car I know that can do this is an s max.
Any more I should consider? Open to all suggestions apart from 4x4's....

We were in a similar situation and went out looking for a new car but ended up at a Volvo dealer just buying their narrow-frame child seats, three of which fit just fine across the back seat of a Passat.
What I thought was going to be a £20k+ shopping trip, ended up costing £75 per seat.....!
I think you can fit 3 seats into the back of the C4 Picasso and I can't recommend one enough. I say think, as I've had 2 Isofix seats, side by side and it looked like there was still enough room to fit another on the end.
I recommended the Grand Picasso in a recent 7 seater thread, along with a few posters and also posted a link to a larger thread in the French Bred section:

We have the Grand Picasso and now after 20,000 miles it still hasn't missed a beat and nothing still hasn't come loose. It honestly still feels like it's brand new. Obviously if you don't need the bigger boot or 2 extra seats, the standard Picasso will save you a little money in purchase price and in fuel, as it's a little lighter.
I know they're probably the complete opposite to a PH car but they're a very good car for what they are and for what they're built to do.

I wonder how safe this would be carrying the inertia of three children?Situation said:

The Multimac has been approved to the European Safety Standard for child seats, ECE 44-04, and greatly exceeds all the crash test requirements.
This is remarkable because it has to cope with dramatically variable loads – from a single 9 month old to 4 x 12 year old test dummies - in fact to cover all the scenarios, 11 different child age/load combinations have to be crash tested!

We currently have a Zafira which we would Ideally like to keep. Narrow-frame seats would be a good idea I'm sure vauxhall must do something like that!We were in a similar situation and went out looking for a new car but ended up at a Volvo dealer just buying their narrow-frame child seats, three of which fit just fine across the back seat of a Passat.

We had a look at them when shopping for the Zafira, nice looking cars and a good suggestion. Will definatly be an option if we need to swap thanksBlib said:
