it is a rare occasion i put my foot down anymore but,alas, some youths in a "ive been to the ring" sticker on the back of there Civic Type R managed to goad me into it a month or so ago. they basically parked inside the boot of my Monaro for about 2miles, at one point one of them was close enough to interfere with heater settings. so like the easily baited fool i am, when they finally passed me...i droped a gear and re-took them almost instantly and just kept my foot down. im not sure what speed i ended up doing but i believe it had a 541 in some other specific order.

~120mph in the Caterham on the run down Woodham Hill at Thruxton. Doesn't sound that impressive really, but the book top speed of my car is 105mph and 120mph was acheived by slip-streaming several other cars. That would've been seconds before anchoring up and slowing to ~40mph for the 'Club' chicane, often three abreast!
164 mph in a 987 Boxster S heading on the autobahn from Stuttgart to Nurburing. Car was fully loaded and with a passenger so i was thoroughly impressed!
The 911 Turbo we were chasing was long gone though!
As a passenger in mine friend's '00 S4 with RS4 turbos and remapped - 170mph on the autobhan to Stuttgart.
