This one

Obviously nicer is subjective etc.. but still. Even the coupe looks fairly tidy.
We used to get the civic coupe up until the EP3 but not after that.

To me that looks more like a cut and shut of two different hondas.

Because the UK buyers of 'hot hatches' want 3 doors. Simple.

That, and that isn't actually a very good car according to some of the reviews I've read.

I thought it was because the Japanese people keep the cool stuff for themselves.

Is it because the UK market love hatch backs and not saloons? There are quite a few saloon versions of cars we don't get in the UK.

I'd love to read those reviews.

It's pretty much universally accepted that the JDM FD2 is superior to the UKDM FN2 in pretty much every way.

Pretty sure the one pictured is a Mugen RR.

The standard FD2 is amazing itself, in blue.

Well every review of that shape Type R has been stellar. Evo compared its front drive handling ability to the DC2 integra... Which is pretty dam high praise indeed.

The car pictured though is the mugenRR... Only 300 made and I believe 1 in the uk on import. All 300 cars sold out in less than 10minutes of the announcement.

Evo had the following to say....

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/2248...

This is their test of the standard car...

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/2098...

Not sure which reviews you have read?

I've never heard a bad word said about the FD2 - from what I gather it's an absolutely amazing car.

The picture was merely for illustrative purposes so you get the idea of which civic i mean. Still a nice civic though.

Isn't the only last good civic supposed to be the EP3 type R? None of the current civics (including the 8th gen Type R we get here) have particularly excited either.

EK9/JDM EP3/FD2

Three Civics I would spend my money on.

FD2 would tear an EP3 apart IMO.

Wait, is it 2008 again?

It was not imported because with that type of ride in the UK roads you have to change your backbone everytime you go for a drive, even the uk Mugen fn2 which actually has a harsh ride, was described soft compared to the JDM.

And i think not everyone would get a saloon with a torquelees engine, just don't make sense. That engine in a hatchback/small car = good.

Not that wasn't good though,it was much better than the uk type-r,butt in a saloon form it doesn't do it for me.

They are many JDM civics in the uk through, who wanted one bought one (imported).

For years we haven't got the Civics and Accords that most countries get. I have always thought the other ones were nicer.

This, as well as the fact that saloon variants of cars available with a hatch are generally unpopular in the UK.
