After a few jars I have found myself browsing autotrader (as you do)and I have got myself into a drunken dilemma.
I have myself convinced that it would be great idea to trade in my 08 ford fiesta zetec S in black for a 07 sportka. Now that may seem like a no brainer but......and its a big but, I had a 04 sportka for 3 years before I traded it in for the fiesta and ever since I have regretted it.
The sportka i have saw would be a straight swap (i would say i should be able to get at least a years tax and the next service in the deal) and its from a main ford dealer,so would expect the sportka to come with a good warranty and to be in top class condition.

damn you quiet Saturday nights in with beers and free lappy to play with. Now I will have to talk to my wife tomorrow with what is looking like a epic hangover.

Great cars though im sure they are there is a whole world of different motors out there,why go back to something you,ve had before?

I'm not allowed a mx5.and(although I love them) I need 3 seats sometimes because for my sins I have taken up the game of walking 3-4 miles hitting small balls with big sticks... and I have friends that also play the game of constant disappointment.

As you obviously like small Fords why not see what kind of Puma you can get within your budget? The 1.7 litre Yamaha engined one is much revered but if you're constrained by insurance the 1.4 is still reckoned to be a good drive.

oh and in edit to the next poster insurance is not a problem( 40 years old going on 20 with no kids and a easy going wife)..and my budget would be a 08 ford fiesta zetec S that i have owned for a total of 3 months and have already spent the cash on a full service and a new window motor/regulator.
I just miss the rawness of the ka and already know to expect to have to replace the waterpump every year and all the other 'low cost but constant' things that go wrong.

If you have only owned it for three months I would give it a little more time first. Why don't you like it compared to the ka? You say less raw, but what do you mean exactly?

Why would a dealer want to do a swap? I'm not saying that they won't but it doesn't sound like an attractive deal for them

You're being ripped off. A 1 year older Ka is not worth the same as a Fiesta. The fiesta is twice as good as those ka's.
