Not the crime of the century, but is certainly enough to put off a significant % of potential buyers. Would have been better for the seller just to remove the lighter.

Im going to send this clown some questions for a laugh, about the tyres, service history, any minor scratches, why its on disabled tax, is it regularly vacced out, cleaned & polished, any accident damage, any play in the wheel bearings, does it use any oil and any other trivial crap....and see what response I get. I also might ask him if He will take £1000 cash!!!

Really? First of all he seems to think I should travel to him to view info I can view remotely.

Then he expects me to call him, rather then him call me when he's available to give me the number...like he's doing me a favour.

Perhaps I expect a bit much, but perhaps:

"Let me take your number and I'll call you back with the details in an hour or so"

would have been a more appropriate response?

As for the OP, did you really ask what brand of tyres were on a £3k car? They'll be black and round, if you don't like them change them when you buy the car.

Bit harsh - I've generally found that cheap/nasty tyres on a car points to general lack of care and willing of the owner to spend on parts and maintenance, and thus perhaps one to avoid.

Bingo, mismatched ageing nexens bad, matching contis replaced in pairs good. Its a decent measure of the persons approach to maintenance in general.
