Selling a number plate?

My car as a number plate that a few people have said i could sell.
I know i have to put it on retention but that is as much as i know.
I do not no how to value it and do not no how to go about selling it.
Is there company's that can sell it for me any help would be appreciated.

If you google number plate dealers, there are a number who will sell a plate for you. They'll give you a guide price of what they will return to you and if they think the plate is quickly saleable may offer you a buy it now price. If not, ask them how long they think it will take to sell.

Check if they will allow you to advertise it with other agents at the same time, as well.
