Toyota, you could have avoided all of this if you'd just kept the Celica RWD. Look at where the MX-5 is now. The Celica name could have been equally known and revered if you'd kept the Celica RWD or sold sporty JDM RWD cars elsewhere as well as Japan.
I'm not sure I am being unduly irritable, but two BMW Car features to coincide with new M models in CAR Magazine in the last year or so have made me a bit dismissive of such lazy and predictable marketing advertorials.

Strikes me as odd how it IS the huge majority who appear to relish the thought of owning a Toyota Sports 800. That is the SMALL, BASIC, LIGHTWEIGHT, SMALL ENGINED car.
The huge majority would at best, put up with a GT 86 ONLY if they had to and grudgingly at that. That will be the UNDERPOWERED, OVERWEIGHT, OVERLY COMPLICATED, PUDDING of a car.

The 86 weighs fk all.. Given its 5 star crash results is impressive, and feels very light and nimble to drive.
Seriously, I give up reading 86 threads.. Seem to be full of tardish comments by people who've probably not even sat in the thing.
And yeah, people only grudgingly drive the 86.. Hence the 12 month waiting list.. ( in australia (I think) anyway!..).
