At least it gives an indication as to their normal levels of car care.

My irrational hatred is adverts where the car is still surrounded by soap suds with a bucket and trailing hosepipe in shot. To my mind it says "urgh, I suppose I should make it look vaguely clean then take a couple of snaps, that'll do. It's only a car after all". Even worse are the ones with photos taken at the car wash, in front of the price list biggrin

I agree, it takes five minutes to give them a quick hoover.

With this standard of care, have things like oil changes etc been neglected?

Avoid at all costs......biggrin

nono stripes belong on lawns. On car mats it smacks of trying too hard. Not for me, sorry.

You think he does it himself?

Or do you think the weekly valet does it?

I also perceive this the same as you, it absolutely reeks of "this is the first time I've cleaned the car in years"

I think it's done by the carpet fairies.

laugh

The carpet fairies like to put gravel in my car.

And dried out pastry.

yes I always think it shows a certain level of disdain towards potential buyers.

1. I'm not saying it's a good thing.
2. Sometimes cleaning them at home might not be as easy, if you don't have a drive or a garage, then it's take the car somewhere. Not a prob, but you might just want to get the pics done and dusted there and then.
3. Would you seriously pass up on a car just because the mats hadn't been hovered?
