rounded bolt, Can't remove auxiliary drive belt !!
Discussion
trying to change the head gasket on a peugeot 306 and need to remove the drive belt to get at the timing belt, tried to take of the manually adjusted pulley to slacken the drivebelt but the bloody bolt rounded off and now I can't take it off!!!
what do i do ?? im thinking about just cutting off the drivebelt and buying a new one and just worry about the pulley later?
but how would i remove this bolt? its in real tight space.
thanks

I used the sockets and the gas gun on my exhaust bolts. Heated them up for agesssss and then cracked on the sockets and managed to get the bolts off!

^^^ This is one of the best purchases I ever made. http://www.screwfix.com/p/irwin-5-piece-bolt-grip-...
ETA: Need the space for a socket though.... And possibly access to smash it on, so probably a no go.

Cut the belt off, remove the head and you'll have a damn sight more room to work to remove the damaged bolt.
That. Worst case you can take it to an engineering shop and get them to sort it. Krikkit said:
