Bit of fun: If there was an apocalypse, the zombies were after you and you had to choose one means of transport to get you and your family to safety, what would it be? (yes, I have an over active imagination and too much time on my hands).

Mine would be Unimog. Mercedes build quality and cross country ability.

My old passat Tdi. Fast enough to out run zombies. Enough range to not have to stop for a very long time. Robust enough to ram through the zombie hordes. Old enough tech to run on virtually anything flammable.

And the best thing is its parked outside my house within range of the shotgun - so I could clear the area of zombies from the bedroom window and then make a dash for the car.

Ultimately though, I'd head for the coast and nick a boat. 'Cos zombies can't swim.
