Oil change vacumm pumpy thing
Discussion
Pretty handy on something like an E36 328, where the filter is right on top of the motor.
Completely useless on something like an Alfa V6, where the filter is underneath the back of the engine, behind the steering rack, surrounded by pipes and hidden by the undertray.
Leaning under and knocking out the sump plug is the easy bit.
Besides, it is a good excuse to check the driveshaft gaiters, the downpipes, drop links, radiator and bottom hose.
But I do have a huge syringe like contraption which is brilliant for filling diffs and gearboxes.

I have a 6l Pela, it's excellent and a lot easier than getting under the car.
If you have a boat supplier nearby they're often cheaper than Machine Mart, they're common in the boating world where removing a plug from under the engine isn't usually possible.....

Works a treat and makes oil changes on vehicles with undertrays a doddle. Really useful bit of kit.
