Just a quick one....

Going Leeds>Folkestone on a Friday PM (in school hols).
Assuming leaving Leeds at Noon, so M25 by 15:00....
Around the M25.
Eurotunnel in a 18:00-20:00 slot.

Sound right? 6hrs?

Possible but obviously dependant on traffic, you never know whats going to happed on the roads in question.

I travel to Folkstone quite regularly from Newcaslte to cross on the Euro Tunnel and always book a later crossing circa 1-2 hour later than anticipated arrival at Folkstone, I can't remember a single trip where the nice people working havn't allowed me to get on an earlier train.

I last travelled this route Friday the 10th August and was booked onto the 23.20 train, arrived Folkstone at 21:00 and was put onto the next train at about 21:17!

I used to do it a fair bit the other way Chatham-Leeds for customers. I don't use the M1 I go A1(M)-M11-M25 much nicer & pretty quick now that Blythe & Grantham are dualed &/or roundabouts removed. The Dartford Bridge will be a PITA & there is no easy way to avoid it going south.
