PLEASE make this kind of thing a regular feature! Every petrol head wants to go and poke around certain companies, but it's a bit embarrassing once you're an adult...
Yes please.

A bit of an insight into some of the specialist restoration, modification, etc garages and dealers out there would be great.

Some exposure for the business and a bit of a nosey for us mere mortals who could never realistically make a legitimate visit there to buy something!

Would love some more info and background on some of the projects they've done.

One of the TVR specialists next please?

great article, an old 911 will be my next car hopefully
Make it happen mate, I got my first one, a 1973 911T in '84, cost me a bob or two to restore it but kept it for 9 years, got too many sprogs, it had to go in '93. kids grew up and I bought another A (3.2 Carrera Coupé Sport)in 2009 and still enjoying it. I do without a lot to own it but everytime I take it out I remember why! They are not so costly to run if it's a second car, they are very useable, economical if not run at full chat everywhere and mostly easy to maintain yourself if you know one end of a spanner from the other.

Getting that 911 back up to ST spec is going to be very very expensive, expect to see it for sale at over £120000, though the advert will probably say P.O.R. As Alan Clark once wrote, they like to size up you and your wallet before suggesting a price. Ask them 'what's it worth', not 'what's the price'.

They looked after my 924Turbo about 20 years ago, when they were in Tring. Nice people.

Took my old 964 super sport to Autofarm for a service. The courtsey car was in a shocking state and broke down on the way home. When I picked up the car I was faced with a HUGE bill for work I didn't authorise. They changed my brake discs and couldn't show me the old ones that I know were fine. I was insulted when I complained and told 'if I don't have enough money to maintaine an expensive car like a Porsche I shouldn't buy one'. Needless to say I was discusted and will never use them again.
