vomit The Nissan Figaro!
Something wrong here, all should be on `93 plates, they only made them in 4 colours, seasonal. Anyway, hate them or not, get one and sell it at profit, they get snapped up.

I doubt very much that the Nissan design team are shaking in their boots due to this thread.

I'm not a fan of the Juke but all the others are cool I think..my Cube from a few years back...

Great car except for the lack of power and lack of a manual option

Love Jukes.

Smile everytime I see one because they are just so bloody random. In a world of Silver boxes I find that very refreshing.

I even went onto Nissans website last night to see what spec the Cube comes with. It's not on there so I filled in the questionnaire at the end and complained!

Given a lottery win a Cube with GTR mechanicals would be on my list of things to do.

Isn't the Cube only imported to order?
There was a grey market for a while.

Nissan then made it officially available for the UK Market.

They did not sell enough, and it was dropped. Something tells me they only sold 1600...

Feel free to correct me anyone.

Oh, and I like it!
Am I the only one who finds this depressing? It's sad that the Cube has been removed from the UK market, while miserable stters like the Audi A1 are successful.

Being of mature years, i am now limited to a V70 for general lugging, and a Spirit II for other times,it is rather nice being cocooned from the outside world in a surrounding of Burr Walnut/Connolly Leather/Wilton Carpet and sheepskin overmats.(Very touchy feely!) And am 'employed' in renovating my sons Dolly Sprint

I still say the cube/juke look awful as do several other makes/models.(Probably by reading some of the replies, my choice of wheels are not the flavour of the month)
There is an old engineering saying, 'if it looks right, it is right'. These two designs, to me, do not look right. Opinions are like sphincters, everybody has one

Cube is inspired. I'd have one.

And me.
Love them but should be larger like T25 Van size then I think they will gain a large following.

To my eyes, Nissan have one of the best design teams in the world right now - they seem to be the only people willing to do anything interesting.

Nissan design isnt really my taste, I realy think its uninspiring design. Although they have tried a bit bolder lately with the Juke and the cube. GTR is technical achievment but in real life it really looks bulky and boxy. Lot of their current designs just doesnt seem so wesl thought through smile

And how the f*** did they think when they designed one of the most ugly rear ends ever:

Neighbour at work has a Cube, personally I think they are quite funky. Its not an awful place to be with a fair amount of space.

I remember seeing a Honda SMX Lowdown in Japan many years ago and thought how cool they looked, a few years later in America Toyota (Scion) released their version the XB and thought I'd like one of those! Not sure why Kei cars havent really caught on over here, maybe because we are all speed freaks!

Nissan have some good designs but some date very quickly, added to the Renault running gear in some of them and they are even less attractive.

Haven't sat in one myself, but apparently the rear view mirror is curved at the top, combined with the rear window being curved at the bottom, you don't see much behind you. They didn't really think it through on that one.

No, it's not.

The Primera P12 is a fab car though. The interior is brilliant and, whilst the exterior looks are a bit marmite, I think they look great. Totally different and not trying to be anything else. The estate is a huge thing. Fantastic.

Is that relevant to his dislike of bland VAG cars?

No, it isn't. For the record, I'm not driving at the moment, for a number of reasons.

Back on topic, I wish more other manufacturers would follow Nissan's example, and produce cars that looked genuinely different. I understand if someone wants to drive round in an anonymous grey box, and manufactuers follow suit by supplying this demand, but it doesn't mean that the majority of them should adopt a "me too" approach to design.

Don't like the new Micra, big drop of the ball there

The last 2 however looked very nice imo. Very simple and neat design work

Just found this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISMO-built-Nissan-Micra...

What would it take to get it on the road? Looks like great fun smile
