High bork V8 Estate or minor bork barge & toy?
Discussion
So after a year of barging around in my £850 528 I'm thinking of getting an estate as it's easier to shift baby stuff and windsurfing stuff in.
The current plans are either a potentially bork ridden V8 estate e.g.
550M Sport
RS6
With my wallet trembling at any noise
or
An older, slower estate e.g.
E39 530 estate
E430 - in classic JRG
Plus some form of £3-5k toy
Any wisdom from the PH collective - most likely about the massive level of bork that may occur if I take option 1...

You can start by explaining the word 'bork' to the less street uf us around here.
It's about as non 'street' as possible, its from here - the Barge threadNiceCupOfTea said:
E39 touring + Westfield/TVR
Assuming about £6k max for the TVR - that means something like this1996 Chimaera ?
How often will I be crying into my socket set with this though?
Westfield - would prefer a little bit of practicality in the toy - if I chose to drive to work in it and it tips down I'd prefer not to be protected by the equivalent of an Argos tent

£6k will get you a very nice S-Series or Wedge. But if you're worried about reliability, how about an S2000 or Z4. Can't help thinking that these are aren't really special enough to be weekend cars...
Fun car would likely be used to drive to work a fair bit as well - the only time I can guarantee that wife&child will not be accompanying me;)Also thought about a 350z - either coupe or convertible - I think decent ones are around 5-6k

It is fairly accepted in the computer geek circles as well
Anyhow, i thought the e39 also came in V8 flavours besides the M5, the 540i perhaps?
Ahh - barge based bork very few 540 estates around, if I was looking at an E39, then I'd probably go for a 530, but happy to look at 540's if a suitable one is aroundAnyhow, i thought the e39 also came in V8 flavours besides the M5, the 540i perhaps?
