The video was st.
The car was extremely dull, despite the V8.

I'm sure some people will love it, Audis have just never appealed to me whatsoever.

Whoever approved the final edit of the video should be assessed.

They are trying to big up the sound of the car the whole way through the video, so why leave the 'moped or something?' comment in there? Our car sounds fantastic, but it might also sound like a 50cc moped.

Also, when the presenter says 'It's actually the sound of a new Audi' the other guy says 'Right, ok, well it's very impressive' but his face says 'I literally don't give a $#¥T'.
rofl ^This. All day long. You can see him thinking 'why the fk are you still talking to me? Take your stty white headphones and let me get on my way. I don't even know what "The New Audi" fking is, you smiling cheesy tt.'
Ahahaha! The best bit of the video IMO. Man on the street doesnt give a st about Audi.

It does sound very good. We can hear that, no need to show us lots of 'tards guessing its a F1 car and getting excited.
Or even a moped laugh

It could be (much much) worse. Remember this marketing triumph!?

Talk about insulting their target audiences intelligence. laugh

It seems to me that marketeers are targeting prepubescent school children these days.

Or maybe most marketeers are pre pubescent school children.

RS5 looks awesome though, hope it drives as good as it looks.

Dear people from the Audi PR dept. Cabriolets are not sports cars no matter what exhaust note you tune out of it - Just as when I was a child the square shaped block didn't fit in the triangular hole. This video shows how messed up this company is internally.

I miss the UR Quattro....cry

Enjoyed this video much more than I thought I would, but only because it encapsulates perfectly the exact reason I dislike the Audi brand and the majority of its products....

Audi have gone from producing a well engineered rally bred cars to the ulitmate in tacky.
Yes, and the majority of their models are coveted by what I like to call the "car park brigade" (I think Richard Porter summed it up best, a few Evo mags ago, when he said that the classic Audi target market is the sort of guy who wears one of those big watches lol).

How often do people here see this grill (in one form or another) in your rear view mirror, about 5mm from your bumper?

IMP--> I'm so small minded as to think everyone who drives a new audi is this type of person!

It's funny you know, that the hideous, gopping Audi grill greatly resembles the slack-jawed look of your typical Audi driving moron these days.

Audi have performed a miraculous feat in usurping BMW, and BMW drivers, as the most hated, despised automotive dyad.

Indeed, BMW is almost completely rehabilitated (despite patchily trying hard to be loathsome with products like the X6).

I really like the new S4 you have- I see it as a move back in the right direction to when they were making stuff like this.

With quattro+dsg(?) I bet you've surprised a few people in 'faster' cars? smile

Boring and predictable.
A noticeable power bump and a metal folding roof would have set it up and beyond its main competitor the E92 M3.

The thing I like about 'old' Audi was their engineering innovation. Back in the days of the D2 A8, the B5 S4 etc etc, people were buying those cars because of the superb engineering. They offered a credible alternative to the other German marques of the time, without the obvious badge appeal but merit-worthy in their own right. Well, aside from the TT, which always looked better than it drove.

Now, Audi are far too close to Volkswagen. Yes, they are more sought after than ever but I don't think the cars are as good or as characterful now. Especially not this hideous drop-top piece of rubbish.

That said, I've not noticed many people treating me like a dick in my A8, which should be an awful car for attracting ire. Lentil-lovers will hate the big V8 and Joe Public will probably think 'Audi driver, must be a cock', despite being 'old' Audi. Though largely I haven't noticed this. I've had a few small cars buzzing around, trying barge their way about and show off, which does seem to be facet of driving a big barge. But that is a small concern. I'm sure it would be much the same in a 7 series, an S Class or an XJR.

How UTTERLY terrible. How the hell could such a massive company come up with something so cringable and amateur. Can't say I like the car either.
