I'm really happy with my current line up...

- '98 BMW 740i
- '92 MK1 MX5
- '94 Track Prepared BMW 320i

All 3 cars cost a total of £2200 to buy. Perfect combination!

Quite happy with the two cars I've got, but additions still required smile. The M3 CSL is great for the weekend early morning blasts, the Alpina C2 Tourer is just a bit different. It is lovely to drive, although not that quick really, but as something rare to own and to look at I just love it. Fairly rubbish as an estate mind!

Each car could be replaced with better if funds existed eg CLK Black or 996 GT2 instead of the CSL; 190E EvoI/II or B6 3.5S ideally for the C2T. But instead I'm happy with them both, and next target down the line will hopefully be a 90s super saloon. Would like a Lotus Carlton, but they don't really do the whole Q-car thing very well which sort of appeals to me. So a Merc 500E or an E34 Alpina B10 BT are high up on the list whenever funds become available to buy and run one

My current fleet is:
Elise (for B road fun)
MX5 turbo (for B road fun)
ZX7R (for B road fun)

Which covers most of my motoring needs. I liked my fleet more when it was:
MR2 mk2 (for B road fun)
MX5 turbo (for B road fun)
ZX7R (for B road fun)
535i (for scaring up to 4 other people on B roads, and also for wafting to Germany and back for a few laps of the 'ring).

I could be really happy with that lot.

I'm a little jealous.

Thanks, but I already have as many MX5s as my manliness can compensate for.

There is a problem with my Elise - I care about it too much. When it's slot in the fleet was taken up by my MR2 I could just leave it places and not worry. And skip servicing on it. And slide it around a bit.

With great cars comes great responsibility. Sometimes a shed is more fun even when it's rubbish.

Understand what you mean.

A few years ago I spent a fair bit of money buying an Alfa GTV V6..... It just made me constantly worry about scratching or bumping it as it was such a lovely car.

Sometimes it's nice owning a car that's worth < 1k. Just enjoy, with no worries.

Mine could do with a few revisions as the Disco 4 and the (company) Defender overlap a bit too much but time constraints mean the XKR rarely gets used. I'm a bit loathed to let the Disco go as it does everything so well, the Defender has to stay too so that just leaves the Jag. Maybe it could make way for a Morgan 3 wheeler...

I have it at the moment, 2006 Mustang GT, its quick, practical and it makes as good a race car as it does a daily drive. If I had the cash I think the only things I'd add would be a bespoke race car and the truck to tow the trailer.

I've not, but I'm getting close. I need a GT car and a track car to complete a line-up that I'd be happy with, taking into consideration my current cars.

Actually, I'd need an old-school beater for fun such as a BMW 1602 or original Beetle.

Come to think of it, an old Defender would be lovely to have, too.

bks...

I always thought having a quickish estate car for the odd camping trips, everyday stuff would be a good and a sports car for fun would tick all the boxes.

Im happy cloud9

I was fairly happy with an mx-5 for weekend fun and the fabia vrs for everyday.

Then I sold the mx-5 and my turbo went pop on the vrs. Tits.

I can get a car in it. If I take the car out I can find my tools. If I carefully position the car, I can get in to weld one side of the sills, or replace one side's brake pads. So Perfect.

Pretty much.... considering budget and the fact that I was 24 years old.

The black GSI was rather special (South African Superboss), as was the KTM supermotard, and the Manta weaseled its way into my heart and was planning a V8 drop into it.

That's a great collection! smile

Current fleet is

Renault Scenic for family stuff/lugging round crap. Great little buy and been v. reliable

Phase 1 172 track car for, erm, the track

Phase 2 Clio V6 coming this week for weekend/hooning/short commute

Pretty happy with the french mix, though the mrs fancies chopping in the scenic for a Qashqai

I think the OP was talking of the contents or cars owned not the actual garage.

Too many cars... too little time.

Mine isn't bad for my needs: 40 something with 4 kids and loads of toys

Modified VW T4 van with 6 quick release seats - ideal for kids / toys or both
Modified Isuzu TF 5 seater with 7.5 foot back - as above plus takes larger loads and is 4WD
Modified Supercharged MX5 - great tail happy fun
Modified RX7 - 350bhp fast, fun car

The T4 and MX5 get the most use.

My current fleet reads like a stuck record:

2011 VW Amarok - 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel

2011 123d Coupe - 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel

2011 VW T5 Van - 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel
