Breakdown Cover
Discussion
I have http://www.autonational.co.uk/autonational/breakdo... for the Tvr which is 17yrs old.
Just started the policy so I don't know how they perform yet but happy with £66 for 15 months.

I've got insurance policies with classicline on the Jensen and Stag (both over 35 years old), and both policies include breakdown cover which does all the above.
I've used it too - very good service - recovery from anywhere, and relay to home.
Do they cover any car? I don't think the Lancaster one does (my insurance co.) Might have a swap to classicline in Dec if they offer breakdown on any car. I've used it too - very good service - recovery from anywhere, and relay to home.

Do they cover you for any car or only your TVR? I have about 10 or so different classic cars throughout the year and they are usually the ones that cause problems, not our two 'permanent' cars (MGB GT V8 and Triumph GT6)Just started the policy so I don't know how they perform yet but happy with £66 for 15 months.

Try the RAC! Very well supported on this site it appears!
I've tried RAC but am confused about whether or not they will recover you home and not to a garage? I fix my own cars so don't want additional costs of recovery from garage to home or additional labour costs associated with a garage doing the work.V8Triumph said:

So not really for your needs.

You need joint Roadside & Recovery cover (covers you and wife and will take you to your destination i.e. home)Just Roadside means they'll take you to a garage within 10miles so you don't want that.
