Found this '07 Brabus Rocket in the classifieds - http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/use...

And considering how much it cost new, it seems quite a bargain... well, not bargain, but you know what I mean...

It is just cheaper than a brand new "base" CLS 63 AMG, so my question to you is... the new 63, or the Rocket?

Google the seller of the brabus then decide if you want to part with 80K.

The Rocket. I have no doubt the new CLS is probably better in the new world but I'm a sucker for exclusivity.

I thought knew who it was selling it by reading this before I clicked on the link...I was right.

£60K+ a year in depreciation. eek

Looks like a lot of car for the money, but unless you live in Germany with regular Autobahn access I'd imagine the new CLS63 would be a better all round package.

Very cool though, and likely to become collectible at some point perhaps?

Its been for sale for a while which I can only put down to who is selling it. Its an amazing car and definately a very rare one.

OP, why don't you look at CLK Blacks. They seem to hold their money very well.

They say its a Rocket and a 6.3, the details on the side of the ad are for a 55 and mycarcheck shows it as a CLS500. Is it a genuine Brabus? I know sometimes the "base" car might be what it shows as but this looks fishy.

Hadn't realised they were a bad lot... such a nice car for the cash, although i don't have the cash for this or a clk black (as much as i'd love one)

The CLS 500 is the base car, so it might still be registered as that. I thought it was a bit wierd that the link calls it an SV12R, which is a different model...

They might be many things at good ole KTC/KSP but they won't be selling a car that isn't what they say it is. Its definatley a brabus rocket. Nice! Get yourself to the golf club, if it ever makes it off the forecourt, in a matter of minutes even though you live 3430843 miles away smile

Found an MB-Club thread from Feb 2011- it was for sale at an MB dealer for £175k. Ouch.

That MB link reckons its a CLS500 with a Rocket conversion. I love my fast Mercs but I have never seen a rocket conversion in the options list. I wonder if its like that .50MM Calibre option you can get for the toyota HI-LUX wink
