I'd be sorely tempted for an Akra on the Clio 200 if they weren't the best part of a grand.

I spent about an hour going from sound clip to sound clip the other day on YT with various supercars. smile

All these are very good, but I now give you the best noise ever. The Gemballa Mirage GT. Old F1 car noise for the road!

Not bad at all.

Personally I'm rather taken with the Speed Six TVRs. In fact this might be my favourite car-noise video ever:

I love something with a bit of an edge to it like that. Despite owning one, I'm not hugely fussed by the lazy burble you get from 90-degree crank V8s.

Love cars and all their different sounds including the 355, but for me it has to be the Hennessy Venom GT!

I had a 355 GTS with a Capristo and the roof off in a tunnel was pure joy..

I just sold a GT3 RS with a Europipe exhaust and now I am looking for my 3rd M3 CSL so you could say I like my noise!!!

I still think this is better - Ferrari does sound lovely though.

Holy Hell that TVR is epic. I've seen it so many times and it never fails to put a smile on my face. It must make TVR ownership completely worth it.

I will own a 355 at some stage.
However, the Zonda 760RS does sound even more epic (IMHO) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb05nRyDrY8 (1.25 onwards for the best noise)
This is beautiful!

Lola, at Le Mans, circa 1999 - can't remember the exact year and don't have a clip but that was the most wood inducing sound I ever did hear on a car bounce

Wow !

As a point of interest, what do these rev to ?
They rev to 8250 iirc.

Dad has one of these with sports exhaust (unknown brand) however it does sound superb. Was lucky enough to drive it last winter smile

I think this sounds amazing also :

One of the best car experiences I had involved both the TVR Speed 6, Ferrari 355 flat-plane V8 and my then (almost unsilenced) TVR Griffith RV8 on our way down to Le Mans (2002 or 2003 IIRC) going through a tunnel on an autoroute at full throttle. Although the din was immense, you could clearly discern each of the three engines. The French eurobox drvies we were overtaking were stunned.
