BRM v16 - Into the Red (which I think this soundtrack is from) was where I first heard it - sounded like a long lost dinosaur from the Pleistocene era

I still yearn for my Tuscan S with CCC exhausts.
If GT3RS are your thing then this might do it for you.

Eh ? A GM V8 in a 911 is as daft as as a Stuttgart flat 6 in a Corvette surely; and this one at tick over sounds like a bag of spanners. Sorry. I can't believe no-one has mentioned hakosuka yet:

I felt inspired by this thread, ok its not the best sound in the world but it ain't half bad for a car I use as an everyday runaround http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgr0OEzeVsQ&fea...

Not as daft no. The porsche flat six, weighing as it does considerably more than the LS7, would of course therefore have a negative effect on the handling of the 'vette. The lighter LS7 in the back of the porsche however will have improved the handling of that vehicle considerably. But then with your obvious knowledge and wisdom you would have known that already
I am more than happy to confess my ignorance here-amazed that the V8 is lighter. So you - or I in this case- live and learn. Still sounds crap though! I love the 355 video watch that one alot and this one.
