Oh, and I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but "worship at the alter"?

It's a tenner a tank of petrol out here, which makes it easier to run, the biggest issue is negotiating speedbumps.

Whats the point in bliping the throttle on up shift? shirly you want to slow the engine down hence shifting.... I understand it does sound good though

To me, it doesn't sound good because it's stupid! All it's going to do is wear the clutch out more as the revs have further to drop when you re-clutch into the next gear...

Oichan had done a heck of a lot to his though - certainly not gonna sound like that for a grand. But a VR6 does sound excellent. Doesn't compare to some of the exotica in this thread of course but still..
