The 355 is my all time favorite, thanks for posting this topic!! Listened to it about 8 times. However, it is closely followed by this - mainly due to the fact I can afford one soon! ;

lovely.
I will own a 355 at some stage.
However, the Zonda 760RS does sound even more epic (IMHO) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb05nRyDrY8 (1.25 onwards for the best noise)

I love the V8 Ferrari sound but you can't beat a V12 and this one is right up there.

I like this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBzDy42lsm0
Dear lord, that is epic!My own car was featured for Quicksilver exhausts once it had been fitted (they asked me if they could use it in exchance for keeping the mini DV cam they sent me to record with - seemed a fair deal to me!)
Some might argue that it isn't in keeping with the Range Rover theme, but I love the sound of a meaty V8!

p.s. if you want to hear some real V8 warble then skip straight to about 35 seconds through.

Being a biker this does it for me every time, I was there (in the white top) what a sound!! Might have to nip to the garage with my keys

The 355 definately sounds nice, but the ultimate sound for me has to be the F50

They might 'only' be 4 pots but these are some of the best sounding engines ever. It's all about induction.

An F355 GTB/S with the Motronic 2.7 engine management, with a level 2 Capristo and a de-cat - Is the closest sounding thing to the V10 F1 cars from a few years ago. And the V10 F1 cars from a few years ago, to me, make the finest mechanical sound ever.
On a totally different note (quite literally) i am a fan of the sound made by a whooshing, popping, banging, clattering 90's Escort Cosworth on a charge through a forest/tarmac rally stage.

In response to a previous post, 380 was Ps, 375 is bhp.
So where does 400bhp come from, the fitting of the exhaust?
I know turbo or supercharged engines benefit from freer-flowing lower-restri tion exhausts, but a n/a doesn't have the same requirements, requiring more back-pressure to help scavenge the cylinders.
I may of course be proven wrong....

Remember hearing a TVR for the first time, about 10 years ago. A neighbour had a Griffith visit. I stood at the end of the road as he was about to leave. The sound of the engine starting filled my life! I think i still have tinnitus. But it wasn't just the volume, it was the musicality, the sheer harmonic range it threw out. Just stunning.
Re the 355 - I've never 'gotten' the sound of Ferraris. They always sound too nasal and hoarse to me. I much prefer 90s Lambos.
...or ANY aircooled 911. Rattly, howly, beauty!

I'm a sucker for a V10, and even more for Lamborghini V10s.

A Gallardo Superleggera decat is quite frankly, beautiful to my ears!
I do agree with Chris on the 355 though, I really do love the sound of that V8.
