Assuming it's new, the car would need to be much, much older for that to be JC. laugh

Indy Roadster

Alfa Romeo 2900B

The Connew F1. If you don't know what this is, go to YouTube and enter "The Connew Story". It's nearly 10 mins telling a story of a home-built F1 car, and will break your heart. Modern GP racing is cr*p without a soul.

Most of the good ones have been named. Always liked the Maxi Megane, probably due to mid-90s Colin McRae Rally game love.

As close to automotive racing perfection as we'll ever get in my opinion.......

So the Merc is preferred to this?

Strictly speaking not a racing car, but a racer in all but function. The Uhlenhaut coupe.

It does seem that folks like what they saw when they were kids, so how come I like things from about 10 years earlier?

Talbot Lago T26

Ferrari Dino 246 F1

A lot of automotive porn in this thread, but I can't believe this hasn't appeared yet...

Other favourites of mine...

Or indeed any Group C car.

(Just loved the RS500 in this colour scheme for some reason)

(I think I'm the only one who prefers the Martini colours to Gulf on a 917.)

And from the short ovals...

Plus any Group B rally car - couldn't single out just one.

Lots of cars on here with not much power really hehe

Gotta be one of these, watching a pair of Top Fuel dragsters going full tilt (even if it is only a 1000ft these days) doesn't get old, ever:

I took this (image is cropped) at the Finals last weekend

ETA: I suppose I could include my daily driver too as I use that for competitive racingsmile
