Go out of your way to hold him up and generally ruin his day.

This guy is a total and utter fool. Blocking traffic in the outside lane, eventually a Peugeot tried to undertake and you guessed it, he then floored it. Repeat. Later coming off a roundabout he slams on his brakes and then floors it again. He was swerving and very inconsistent (like a Singapore taxi driver smile)

I pulled alongside him in traffic and he was unwilling to look back.

Utter bum trumpet. He must be around the Coventry area today so beep and give him a smile if you see him.

By any chance was the 'outside lane' about to merge into your lane? i.e 3 lanes into 2

Bum trumpet, haha!

I chuckled yesterday at a couple in a black Range Rover exactly the same, she was nosing out into traffic, and the fella was leaning out of the window shouting at people and waving his arm telling them to stop so that she could pull out.

So all he was doing was blocking the idiots who refuse to queue, from zipping down and cutting in at the very last minute?

Not sure what your angle is here. Presumably you're having a moan about people who can't see the point in queueing in the middle lane and instead pop down the outside lane until both lanes merge?

Oh dear - you're one of those who doesn't understand how a filter lane works aren't you?!

I have to put up with this almost every morning, tts who think it's ok to pull out on anyone daring to use the filter lane. Last week a lady pulled out in-front of an un-marked Police car, oh how I smiled when the lights came on!

Not at all, this all happened miles before this picture was taken on a 60mph dual carriageway.

He was doing 50 in a 60 and refused to yield to the traffic jam behind him.

No, not at all. There was no filter lane when the offending actions were taken.

I know full well how a filter lane works, and I use it up to a point. I just don't tolerate people who cut in front of me at the VERY last point of merge. Just because you are in a filter lane it doesn't give you the right to cut in. You wait for the next available gap that 'should' be opened by the car behind the car that's at the point of merge.

I'm not justifying the behaviour of the people who sit out and block the lanes, but having had to experience the 'last ditch cutter inners' on a commute for 3 years, I kind of understand why some people get pissed off.

You should probably think about getting a LHD dashboard for it then.

OP sounds like the guy was just on a wind up.

On the topic of filter lanes.

Depends on how someone uses a filter lane. One group are at fault in those "battle for spaces".

It's those for not filtering in the first place, which gives a queue of 10-12 people in one lane. Where as if they filtered you would have 5-6 cars next to each other.

Then the guy who comes flying down and "cuts in at the last minute". Although why should he join a queue of 12 people and not make the lights, when he can filter to the front and get through. If everyone filtered at the lights and set off correctly everyone would make it through.

I may be shot down in flames for posting this, but nearly every black RR driver appears to be a complete and utter toss-pot of the first order. The majority have absolutely no need for such a gas guzzling device. It's pure marketing and look at me syndrome. They should have been put down at birth or launched into space. The black RR footballer-come-flash git types get no sympathy from me. Only two types of people need RR's; farmers and the emergency services. Right, gripe#1 over.

As per OP, experienced some fking awful driving from some arse in a black RR Sport on the A44 Oxford to Woodstock Road. The driver had zero awareness of those around him, simultaneously straddling multiple lanes, and over-taking where two lanes become one. The rest of the time he insisted in attempting to drive inside my boot and if not satisfied with this he tries the same with the poor chap in front, post the ste over taking move. It makes me want to shout wkER !! furious

Once again PH manages to amazed and disappoint me all at once...
