Wanted a Focus rs for about 2 years now (i cant afford a cerbera :'(). I do love my current renault and have started looking at the meganne sports.

I think im starting to sway. 7k gets you so much including LSD etc

Any one have experience with either? At least i could stay in the renault turbo owners club then biggrin

main use other than pootling to work will be track/odd trip down the strip for a laugh (if i sell my r5gtt) and a yearly nurburgring trip (think the meganne would be best for this.

I really think the r26 might actually be a better car, but depreciate faster (thinking the LE yellow might not).

Never been in a Focus RS, have in an RS Megane. Megane goes alright but jeez, it's just ugly as sin, and the interior seemed huge to me (perhaps because I come from loving tiny cars!) have to admit the LY has road presence though.

Focus everytime for me, absolutely gorgeous thing.

Had lots of experience in a meg r26.r, in fact I'd go so far as to say it was my favourite 12 months in a car, great fun!

However, people do complain about reliability which may be an issue as the cars get older. I'm planning on buying another this winter & I've got to be honest, even though nothing went wrong with mine I'm slightly concerned that now they're a couple of years older things might not be the same.

One thing I do notice about focus RS mk1 these days is the interior is a pretty crappy place to be, it just hasn't aged well in there. But the exterior, well they still look fantastic to me.

Megane for me

ye i agree on those points. The RS on the outside looks awesome tbh. and i love the ford heritage! but hmmm i think the megane could be a better all round car.

Very good round a track smile - have only had mine on track once (Donington) but it was great fun. They are very capable on track, there are a number of RSOC members who have very track orientated cars (tuned/stripped out etc.).

Mine is completely standard but I still had a great time!
