RE: Monkey's F1 Predictor
Discussion
No mention of Bottas?
No return for Sutil?
Will Petrov keep Caterham afloat?
Will Pedro De La Rosa's mighty return end a year early?
Is Karthikeyan the worst driver out there?
Can anyone move up from one of the 'it's just nice to see them on track' teams?
For me, 2013 will be the big shakeup. If you were a team manager would you want to have to introduce a new driver to a new team with a new car in 2014 or would you want that driver this year to get them comfortable working with the team and get them some experience (if needed) so the variables are minimised for the rule changes?

Dont follow F1 because it is like the article. Making something exceptionally dull sound interesting and funny. But,
The thought of turbo charged 1.6 ltr engine opened one eye. Honda and Renault back and making an effort, open other eye.
Comments about Kimi R, the only interesting driver in F1, apart from Vettel because they actually have character and a huge talent to boot.
Hamilton, still a prima donner, no change there.
If they ditched the elctronics then we would see opposite lock overtaking on corners again.
Simplfy the aerodynamics then the cars would no longer look like autobots lying down and there would be better racing again because the cars would be more unstable.
Whoops back to the golden era of F1. Now that would be something.
Currently it is entertainment alone listening to the commentators trying to talk up the most uninteresting racing into something.

I'm probably hedging my bets a little bit here but I think we will either see a lot of changes, or none at all. If one person moves there will be a huge shakeup up and down the team pecking order. I can't wait to see how it all pans out.No return for Sutil?

Renault has have massive head start over Mercedes with engine development maybe Renualt be the favourite motor instead?
I love F1, if only because without it this sentence would never be written.I am of the opinion however (unlike Ross Brawn, who referred to V8s as 'antiques') that they should be running V10s forever, with a dispensationale speciale to add 2 more cylinders if your cars are red/ex-team boss is head of the FIA.
As for driver line up, here's an exclusive for PistonHeads from an inside source - Travis Pastrana had a contract for Red Bull Racing in 2012, which is why Mark Webber had to do what he did in Valencia last year. Michael is retiring because Williams sacked Rubens, meaning he had nobody to aim at any more*. Toro Rosso have signed this guy:
- This is why Damon Hill has looked so nervous on Sky this year when reporting from the pit lane.

Williams have a 5 year deal with PDVSA that means they must run a Venezuelan driver. And Bottas has about 5% of the sponsorship of Senna.Defconluke said:

Too stabby - I think he's been "Flavio'd" by the powers that B. Ecclestone.Defconluke said:

He doesn't bring in that much. Enough, but not Hugo Chavez money. Maybe he'll get the Marussia Rotato-Seat next year. He is fast though - Keeping Heikki honest is an achievement in itself.Edited by Gridl0k on Saturday 15th September 12:34
A very amusing article.
I've been told Schui has been paid for the full 3 years already and will leave at the end of 2013.
So if he leaves before then, it will be because the team want him out and are wiilling to take the loss.
I just can't see that.
Lewis has not looked happy since Ron left.
But the best way to beat the fastest driver is to buy him.
Lewis needs to look back into F1 history, before he makes a mistake and burns bridges he will regret very quickly.
As much as I hate to say it, Schui seems to be driving much better recently.
So I see Bernie's Schui comment very interesting indeed and possibly pre-empting the 2014 season.
Which makes sense in that these things are often sorted over a year ahead.
I think Bernie wants Schui to sign up for 2014 now.

At the Sunseeker launch in Southampton this week, Eddie Jordan told Jenson Button not to hang around as long as Schumi - here it is on video..... http://tiny.cc/if7pkw
