So McLaren are saying over 600bhp tonne, circa 801 bhp from the V8, 160 bhp KERS and 1.6 tonnes then?

Compared to the rest of the design the wheels look very 'normal'. I want to see it in black. cool

It's a very small car compared to it's competitors isn't it? I read the wheelbase isn't hugely different to an MP4-12C. It also looks better proportioned than the other pictures which is great, especially the back.

It's interesting that the McLaren F1 has an overall kind of wedge shape; the rear is distinctly than the front. This seems to have quite a low rear end. That's 20 years of advancement in aerodynamics I suppose.

My monocell is basically the same between the P1 and the MP4-12C so it's no surprise they would have similar wheelbase and dimensions.

The "only available in LHD" thing is surely a mistake?

Why would it only be left hand drive if it uses the MP12's mono cell, which is obviously already homologated in both left and right hand drive?

I imagine (& hope) that's just Autocar talking out of their arse again, as per the 'no wipers' comment.

I actually prefer the 1 choice , makes things simpler .
you dont get the lhd / rhd version madness . like enzo and cgt they are then all the same .
when we were asked if it would bother us i actually replied " no ".

600bhp+ tonne is mentioned by McLaren.

Does it def have some kind of KERS type malarkey?

Anyone else think the side profile is just crying out for it to become a GT3 racer? The shape would suit an outlandish wing on some expensive scaffolding.

Something like this.

Sorry for rough image but I only had a couple of mins to do it.
I had sort of the same crazy idea..

Why when a new super gets introduced do people immediately stick a massive wing on it, aero is moving on guys, active is the way forward I think. If the rules had not banned it F1 would be the same
ehem *cough* biggrin

A very small and very stunning car.

LHD only is an extremely interesting statement on the British and Japanese economies. They will have sold a lot of these already and I guess too few are for here to justify wasting any time or money on a RHD version?
