I thought these were proper 2+2s with space for 2 adults in the back??
Closest competitor I can think of that does what this does is Bentley GTC.
The normal GTS is, you're right, but the MC Stradale doesnt have rear seats. Apparently, it can't be retro fitted either, which is a shame.Closest competitor I can think of that does what this does is Bentley GTC.

Beautiful car. Problem is, I had an RS4 cab and never got over how wobbly it was, so no more 4 seater cabs for me!
absolutely no chance this will be wobbly imoWould love to have a poke around one of these...not ideal launching it this time of year, mind
Isn't that report and some comments here a little off the mark? Unless I'm mistaken this is simply the latest 2013 Granturismo 4.7S Sport Cab? Nothing to do with the Stradale, which was two seats only and much more hard core.MC is just the gearbox isn't it,rather than again anything to do with the Strad particularly?
In any case, utterly gorgeous, and at the moment one of the best sounding and looking car on the road. so what if it's a bit heavy, it seats 4 proper adults, sounds wonderful, beautifully built.

My GTS is just over 2 years and really there's been next to nothing wrong with it and as I look around for a potential replacement I don't see anything that is as good looking. A very very capable everyday car (providing you can live with the fuel costs) and this cabrio version looks at least as good.
Maserati really do build some very beautiful cars.

I agree completely, I have an original style 4.2 with a very low millage, I've had it from new and at almost 4 years old it should be gone by now - but I can't see anything I like more at the moment. To be honest a 4.7 could be the answer but I like the way the sills roll under the car on the original Granturismo rather than the later side skirts - just does it for me.Maserati really do build some very beautiful cars.

So this sporty version of a sport Maserati will be ALMOST as fast as the chipped BMW 640D convertible
But when you put the BMW keyring on the table you will be Mr dull and boring. When you place an enameled Trident keyfob on the table you will just want to pick it up again and go driving. Scousefella said:

Definitely not. As well as being jaw droppingly gorgeous to look at and listen to these are technically advanced cars.
I think that the current Aston Martin range is reasonably advanced, and I agree to the point I think you are making, which is that the Fiat group has the resources to make their brands' products (well, some of them - as a big Lancia fan what they are doing with that brand is atrocious, but I digress) better developed than much of the competition.I think the policy of introducing new tweaks without properly discontinuing the model it is based on is reminiscent of Aston Martin. It may not come across this way, but I am a fan of Aston Martin as well; these brands need to be managed, and new pseudo-models is not the way forward (note - Ferrari added some new variants to the F355, 360, F430 and 599 ranges while in production, but never facelifted any of them - (and no, the 430 went way beyond a facelift of the 360, as the 355 did to the 348 - the DBS to new Vanquish might scrape through as a new car on this logic, but not for example the 550 to the 575).
Perhaps we are returning to the days of the 1950s American car market, where people would walk in wanting the "new model", regardless of whether it was better / worse / the same as the previous year, as long as it looked somewhat different. So, as a parallel, it could be argued that by launching tweaked versions of established cars, but with different names, Maserati (in this example) always has a new product out, regardless of whether it is new or not.
This is all I meant by my comparison of Aston Martin's model range and the GranCabrio MC.

So it's a sheep in wolfs clothing?
No, it's a nice looking, great sounding, car that doesn't need to play Top Trumps. However if it did,it's quite likely "one" of the fastest FULL four seater cabriolets in the world,if speed is that important.Having driven the coupe version 2 weeks ago on test, the memory is still there, the first car having enough of an effect for me to consider selling my M400 after 5 years.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
