Love it.

The icing on the cake, if they go to Le Mans, would be 4 seats.

It'd put them in a class of 1, completely underline what the car is all about, and make it completely immaterial whether they won or not.

Saw on the tweets last night at each door on the current GT weighs 54kg. These weigh 7kg each.

I can only wish, pray, beg to watch this at le mans very very soon. Epic bit of kit.

I'd have this GT3 day and night! This is just a phenomenal looking beast. Not a huge fan of the road GT, but after having had one for a 6 months I was a little sad to see it go. A few cars are like that, you don't like them when others have them, but get some good time with them and they grow on you a bit.

The rear spolier is huge, Bozuko style FTW.

I am loving what the GT3 and GT2 style racers are doing for car porn. Something the McFish P1 has missed out on in the styling side of things.

Looks nice and good for Bentley given their distant herritage in motorsport.

But how on earth are they going to make this competitive given the road car weighs 2,350kg? They'll need to shed somehwre near 1,000kg - how do you possibly lose >40% of the road cars weight? It doesn't need a diet, it needs a gastric band and 2 months of liposuction.
I guess removing all the luxury gubbins and their big motors, building the shell from composite as well as replacing all the glass and smaller and lighter fluid tanks could be a very big start on such a heavy initial car?

Yes, it weighs so much because of everything that's in it. It is in effect a 200mph Range Rover equivalent with a W12 engine and even more equipment and even heavier trim materials.

Being 2 feet lower doesn't save much weight in a bit less glass and less air in the cabin.

And to think that some of you folks probably accuse us Yanks who cheer for the Corvette race cars as being a little less than objective. Bentley needs racing as much as a fish needs a bicycle. And the result proves it. It's hideous, completely unrelated to the street-going walnut and carbon version and without some rules accommodation will beat out most of the DNF's.
I know you folks love the mark, and I actually think that some of their sedate sedans as well as some of their crazy turbo convertibles are quite appealing. But this is just wrong.

Most motorsport derivatives are entirely unrelated to the production car. Audi's Le Mans cars aren't even vagueley related nor do they look like production cars. It's not about the car, it's about perception and of the marque as a sporting brand (which historically is what Bentley were). Ultimately, the Continenetal style Bentleys are 200mph cars which many people still fail to grasp.

That's quite a chip you have there fella!

I don't know anyone who sneers at the corvettes, they are flipping fast and it stands to reason that americans would get behind the 'home team'

As it happens, i too could think of more natural base material for a GT3 racer than the bentley, but it will certainly add to the eclectic mix of metal in the paddock, and for that we should ALL applaud it's inclusion

I heard they needed to loose 1000 kilos off the road car weight for it to stand a chance of being competative. If they can come anywhere near to that number, hats off to the design team.
